They sit alongside the written quote you receive; where a quote sets out something specific to your job, the quote takes precedence. ## Quotes Quotes are free and given after a visit to the property. They are based on what can be seen at the time of the visit. If conditions turn out to be materially different once work begins, buried obstructions, hidden decay in a tree, ground conditions that cannot be seen from the surface, we will stop, explain the position and agree any change with you before continuing. Prices for materials are subject to supplier availability and pricing at the time of order. ## Scheduling and weather Dates are agreed in advance. Outdoor work is weather dependent, and tree work in particular may be postponed on safety grounds in high winds. Where a date has to move we will contact you and agree the next available slot. ## Access and site conditions You agree to provide reasonable access to the property and the working area on the agreed dates, including access for vehicles, machinery and waste removal where that has been discussed at quote stage. Please tell us before work starts about any underground services, drains, cables, irrigation or septic systems in the working area. We cannot be responsible for damage to unmarked services we were not told about. Where a boundary or a tree is shared, or where a tree may be protected, it is the customer's responsibility to obtain any consent from neighbours or the local authority before work begins. We will raise it where we think a check is needed. ## Waste removal Unless the quote says otherwise, green waste and arisings are removed as part of the job. We hold a Waste Carrier's Licence and dispose of waste legally. If you would like timber left on site as logs, tell us before the work starts. ## Insurance We carry £5,000,000 public liability insurance, in place on every job we attend. All tree work is carried out by NPTC-qualified operators. ## Payment Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. Where a job requires materials to be ordered in advance, a deposit towards those materials may be requested before work is scheduled. ## Cancellation Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or move a booked date. Where materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, the cost of those materials may still be payable. ## Plants, lawns and living material Plants, turf and trees are living material and their establishment depends on aftercare, weather and ground conditions after we leave. We will tell you what a new lawn or planting scheme needs, but we cannot guarantee the survival of living material once it is in your care. ## Problems with the work If you are not happy with something, tell us as soon as possible: 07817 791046 or countrylandscapecontractors@gmail.com, and we will come and look at it. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. ## Governing law These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
